Hedgehog Academy 6: Write your name

Silver told us everything that had happened. HowJet kidnapped Blaze to get revenge since she had publicly humiliated him. Twice, they had her trapped in the basement. For some strange reason when Silver had confronted them the basement was on fire. Then Silver and Storm got into a fight. Blaze and Jet had a fight too. The roof fell on top of Blaze and that's how they ended up here. As I listened I stared down at Blaze. Her face was pale and her lips where slightly cracked. Her cheeks had some scratches here and there. She didn't look too burned though. She was one tough girl, I smiled lightly. She had some fire inside her. Still I might have not saved her but I will avenge her. And this is something I'm specially good at. We all heard her mumbling things as she slept.

Blaze: Mother...Father...why?

The room went silence. She looks like she's having a nightmare. She moved around the bed as if searching for something. Her eyes close as I studied her actions. Her eyes soon opened as she sat up straight. She's already awake!? She was panting as her breathing got heavier. Sweat was covering her forehead as her golden eyes wide awake.

Silver: Blaze...?

Blaze: Silver! Are you ok? I thought Storm had knocked you out.

Silver: No luckily he didn't. Are you ok?

Blaze: Shadow, Sonic?

Sonic: Hey cutie, you gave us quiet the scare.

Shadow: Are you ok?

Blaze: *Smiles* Yes I'm a bit better just feeling dizzy.

We heard the doctor open the door. He was holding some folders. When he looked up he noticed Blaze wide awake. He looked stunned, I guess she wasn't supposed to wake up. The doctor quickly checked her.

Doctor: Your quiet tough.

Blaze: I guess...

She looked slightly nervous. She must have had a nightmare. I eyed her as the doctor finished up. He told us that he might let her out tomorrow. He will let her stay here today under observation and tomorrow morning we can pick her up. The doctor ordered Silver to take a check out and Sonic went with him. I stayed alone with Blaze in the hospital room. It was silence and the only sound was from the machines. Blaze looked lost in her thoughts.

Shadow: Are you sure your ok?

Blaze: Yes I'm fine...

Shadow: Your a terrible liar.

Blaze: Im perfectly fine I just want to go already.

Shadow: I see...

We where interrupted once again as my brothers re-entered the room. I felt kind of annoyed. The doctor ordered us to leave and soon Amy and Rouge appeared to take care of Blaze. They where being great friends.

~~Next Morning~~

Blaze's pov...

I slowly open my eyes as I notice Amy staring at me. She had stayed over in the hospital looking out for me. I was thankful for her action. Her big green eyes stared down at my golden ones. I wonder why she looks so happy?

Amy: Blaze are you feeling better?

Blaze: Brand new why?

Amy: Good cause where going out tonight!

Rouge: Amy! Blaze is getting out of the hospital today and you actually expect her to go to a damn party!?

Amy: Your such a sour puss!

Blaze: It's fine Rouge I think a party would make me feel better and less dead like.

Rouge: I think your spending to much time with Amy. You almost got yourself kil-

Blaze: You only live ones don't you? Why waste it?

Amy: That's the spirit!!!!!!

Yesterday I had a nightmare with my mom and dad. There looking for me and I think my mom is using someone to track me down by my dreams. If she does appear I can't leave without having a little fun. I ran away because I wanted to be free for awhile. But even I know I can't runaway from my own destiny. Sooner or later she is bond to find me. I want to keep this memories locket, and a party is exactly one of them. I won't let her catch me easily I'll fight if I have too. But I just want to have my backup ready just in case.

Rouge: Are you sure?

Blaze: Positive! So who is throwing the party?

Amy: When you where gone some students from another school. Came over to invite the whole school to a party.

Rouge: Everyone is going to be there.

Amy: Being ladies, we must attend to keep our sponsors intrigued.

Blaze: Sounds like fun, but I don't have anything to wear.

Rouge: Leave it to me, I'm going to talk to Anna to see how much money from your sponsors you've got.

Amy: Then where going straight to the mall to get you a dress.

I nodded agreeing to the plan. I need some fun, I need to distract myself. We soon left the hospital while Rouge spoke to Anna. Apparently I've gotten more sponsors when I left. I had plenty of money to buy two dresses. Anna counts our money and makes a balance since she uses the other for our food and personal care. We decided to go straight to the mall, since Rouge had my card. With the card I could buy the dress I wanted. We parked the car in the mall. Amy was about to pass out of the excitement. We got down and went around the stores.

4 hours later

God help me my legs are killing me! Who knew shopping could cause you so much pain? We went to almost all the stores and we still couldn't find the perfect dress. We soon entered another store as I sat down exhausted. Amy and Rouge look as if they where just fine while I looked like I ran a marathon. They where more excited then usual. Apparently this store was a little bigger and had more variety of dresses. Rouge found a red dress that hugged her body like a glove. It made her look like a badass. Amy found something more sweet and innocent but with a hint of devil. A white dress with ruffles on the button, it hugged her body like a glove too making her show of her curves and tighten her breast area.

Rouge: Looks good Amy!

Amy: Thanks yours also looks good.

Rouge: Thanks I'm sticking with this one. Blaze check around!

I stood up from the chair as my legs wince. I ignored the pain and decided to get this over with. I need a damn dress so I can leave this mall. I searched around but no dress seemed to fit my personality. I then found something that caught my eye. It was a black lace dress, it looked tight yet it send that mysterious aura I wanted. It was just what I was looking for, something dark yet sexy. Something that screams 'Sweet as sugar, cold as ice, Hurt me once I'll break you twice' I pulled it out and rushed to the dressing room. Rouge and Amy awaited excited at my appearance. I stepped out of the dressing room and saw them gasp.

Rouge: You look like a sexy bitch!

Amy: You look like a seductress!

Blaze: Perfect! I'm going to take it, I'll also take those golden high heels to match the dress with some golden earrings and some golden bracelets.

We left the store happy and satisfied. Everything I bought was perfect in the budget. A,y bought some blue high heels with blue accessories. And Rouge bought some black accessories with black high heels.

I looked at the mirror to see a totally different woman. I looked older but in a good way. The make up was done perfectly and my hair was down. And into soft curls, Rouge and Amy did a great job. I was shocked to see the woman standing in front of the mirror. I felt the tears overwhelm me. Trying to escape my eyes, mom would have loved to see me like this.

Rouge: Are you guys ready?

Amy: Blaze is everything alright?

Blaze: Yes it's perfectly fine!

We drove down to the street, I could already hear the music. We parked the car and got off it. We went inside the house as the crowd of people overwhelmed the place. This is exactly how I imagined a party. The colorful lights decoded the roof giving it life. The smell of alcohol was overwhelming but it wasn't hard to ignore. The music was just right and perfect to dance to. I sat down in a chair and awaited to see what could happen. Rouge and Amy had already disappeared into the crowd of people. They probably went to get a drink. I stayed quiet and watched the people enjoy themselves. I then felt a light tap on my shoulder as I look up. A dark hedgehog with silver high lights and piercing cold eyes. I looked him up and down. He had a leather jacket and some torn out jeans with a navy blue shirt. And some converse, he had a resembles to Shadow.

Hedgehog: Like what you see?

Blaze: You just remind me of someone I know.

Hedgehog: Oh really? That's a first.

Blaze: You seem cocky.

Hedgehog: You seem nervous, want a drink?

He hands me a drink, if he thinks I'm going to drink a cup from a complete stranger he is wrong. I grab it to be polite but I don't drink it. He eyes my every movement which makes me feel very uncomfortable.

Hedgehog: You don't drink?

Blaze: Not exactly.

Hedgehog: Then drink!

Blaze: Aggressive much?

He hesitates but I just smirk. I stand up to walk away but he grabs my waist and pulls my body to his body. He doesn't smell like alcohol? This guy isn't drunk he is clean! I try to get off him but he tightens his grip even more. He makes me walk with him up the stairs but I stomp his feet. I'm not going without a fight! I ran back down but he rushed down to grab me once again. Asshole!!

Blaze: Let me go!!

Hedgehog: Scream if you can it's not like people can hear you over the loud music.

He had a point, but if I used my flames I would be in deep shit. I'd have to kill him then so he won't spread rumors of me. Think Blaze! Someone tapped his shoulder and when he turned around he flew right across the room. I gasp and notice its Shadow. His red crimson eyes sparkled as I felt my heart skip a beat. He had a black leather jacket with skinny jeans and some vans with a t-shirt. Even though it was casual it was a nice causal. His perfume hit my nostrils as I felt mesmerized.

Shadow: Touch her again and I'll kill you.

Hedgehog: This is classic, Shadow you've moved on so fast. What about Mary?

Shadow: Shut...the...hell...up...

Hedgehog: Little Mary died and its all your fault!

Shadow: You've done it!!

Shadow prances on top of the other hedgehog as they both began to fight. The party seemed to go in pause as everyone gathered around to video tape the scene. I started screaming. I told Shadow to stop but he was so mad it scared the hell out of me. His red eyes looked lost in fury which scared me. He was another guy, a lost beast.

Blaze: Shadow!!!!

He stopped and whispered something into the hedgehog's ear. The hedgehog mumbled something as he then passed out. Blood decoded Shadow's jacket and hands. I back away as Shadow got close to me. I felt fear overwhelm me. Why did he do that? Did he kill the guy? Shadow grabbed me and took me away from the party.

Blaze: Let go of me!

Shadow: Blaze calm the fuck down!

Blaze: I can't fucking calm down you almost KILLED the guy!!

Shadow: Don't exaggerate, if I wouldn't have shown up YOU would have been a victim here.

Blaze: Victim? Oh Shadow you know me so poorly. You know nothing about me!!

Shadow: Yes I do Blaze the cat, I know you more then you can think. You are the type of girl that acts all brave in front of everyone. Just to shield your self. Deep down your still a little scared girl. I don't know why your scared, I don't know where you came from and it's killing me. It's killing me alright!

Blaze: ...

Shadow: I just know, I know that your making me react like I'm not supposed to. Your making me do things I don't usually do, I never act like this. Weak in front of people, in front of the public eye.

Blaze: Because your also scared Shadow!! Your damn scared, your a scared pussy cat like myself. Where both pussy cats!! But I know my reasons yet I don't know your reasons I don't know why you show up everywhere. You and your brothers, I can take care of myself you freaking saw it yesterday. If you want to rescue a damsel in distress like your used too go find another girl. Cause I don't believe in fairytales. This princess, is the type to put on her damn armor and save herself!! Like I always do!!!

Shadow: ...

Blaze: Fuck this crap! You don't own me, if you want you can just kick me out.

I said as tears began to fall. I don't know why I'm crying. I'm tired of running away. I'm tired of defending myself. I'm tired of the usual, I want to escape it all. Deep down I knew I wanted to be rescued. Until I left the hands of my mother I would never be fully free. Or happy, I would never have the chance to runaway. I turned around, I hate it when people see me crying. Especially since we started screaming like crazy people. Why was I so upset, because he said the truth? Because I never let down my walls? I felt Shadow grab my wrist. He turned me around as his penetrating stare attacked me. We made eye contact as he studied me.

Shadow: We need to give our hearts a break.

With that his lips crashed with mine...
